Which way? Adding your Magento products – Simple? Configurable? Custom Options?

Are you stuck between what Magento Product types to use?

Sometimes it can be time consuming deciding between what product types you may need to use in a Magento site – whether it be Simple, Configurable, Bundle, Grouped, etc – especially when there are so many other requirements to take into account. I have been concentrating on the Magento product types recently as i feel that it is one of the most important areas that needs to be planned out right from the beginning of your Magento build.

Have no fear, a Diagram is here!

To make it a little simpler, I have taken some time to create an easy to use diagram (Download Here) which helps to guide you what product method could be suitable for your store, with a few example product types to assist you.

This diagram should help you decide what product type is the best for your online shop, whether it is a Simple Product, Simple with Custom options, Configurable Product, Grouped Product, Bundle Product, Downloadable Product and Virtual Product.
