I have been on a hunt around the office to compile a few plugins that we all love at present. I quickly began to create quite a list!
I have listed a few plugins that we are currently loving at Creare:
Cueblocks Zoom
Magento Connect: http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/cueblocks-zoom.html
The Cueblocks Zoom replaces the standard Magento zoom facility on the product page – Much better!
Attribute Splash Pages by FishPig
Magento Connect: http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/fishpig-s-attribute-splash-pages.html
We love it because… You can easily create landing pages for different attributes – whether it’s Brands, Sizes etc. The ‘Splash’ page has its own SEO-friendly URL as well as META data that you can change in the admin area. It has many customisable options as well, definitely worth a download! No more creating lot’s of categories and adding your products to twenty different categories!
Custom Menu
Magento Connect: http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/custom-menu.html
We love it because… This displays all levels of sub-categories, displays your menu in a neat and readable way (with as many or as little columns as you want), and you can even add a static block within each one!
Magento EasyTabs
Magento Connect: http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/magento-easytabs.html
We love it because…It simply adds additional tabs to your product page alongside ‘additional information’ and ‘product description’. Nice and simple, which is why we love it.
Product Attachments
Magento Connect: http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/product-attachments-extension.html
We love it because…If you have any downloadble PDF’s that need adding to the product page, this adds a tab alongside ‘additional information’ and ‘product description’ called ‘Downloads’. You can also manage all your attachments in one place as well. Extremely useful.
Ajax Cart Pro
Magento Connect: http://ecommerce.aheadworks.com/magento-extensions/ajax-cart-pro.html
We love it because…It removes the annoying page reloads whenever you add products to your cart, and instead pops up with a nice feature asking if you would like to ‘continue shopping’ or ‘checkout’.
